Rally & Obedience

Rally

What is Rally?

Rally/Rally Obedience/Rally-O is a fun and challenging obedience based activity in which you and your dog work together as a team to go around a course and complete exercises as shown on boards at each station. These exercises include sit, stay, stand, down, turns, weaves, dog positioning and much more! Think obedience circuit training!

With 270 different exercises from levels 1-6, there is plenty to learn! Rally involves teamwork, skill and behaviour, course navigation and flexibility whilst being fun and engaging for your dog.

Rally benefits you both by strengthening your bond, enhancing your dog's obedience skills, increasing their confidence and improving the communication between you both.

The course consists of up to 18 obstacles and if you want to get competitive with yourselves- you have 4 minutes to complete the course! However, if you would purely like to experience Rally for nothing more than obedience training and brain engagement for your dog, that's absolutely fine!

We mix our training with course walks and 'flash card' training.

'Polite Paws 101'

What do you think of when you hear the term 'socialisation'? Do you think of your puppy/dog making friends? Do you think of a puppy play date?

Many of us think of the above but actually, your puppy/dog learning social skills involves learning self control, impulse control, polite interactions and that not every dog will want to be their friend!

This 3 week course does exactly that! It gives you the tools to lay down the above foundations for a socially polite dog.

Who Can Attend: This course is suitable for puppies/dogs of all ages as it's never too late to learn manners!

When: Tuesdays at 6.15pm-7pm

Where: West Moors Memorial Hall

Cost: £45

Capacity:This course holds up to 3-4 dogs plus handlers.

We have options available for puppies who have not yet have their full vaccinations-please enquire.

Operation: Heel!

This NEW FOR 2026 activity covers a more intense look into heelwork based on developing a trust bond with your dog. It covers the following:

1. 'Street' Heel which is close walking with your dog focused and responsive. This is suitable for busy areas.

2. 'Focus' Heel which is used in competition and involves your dog looking up at your face whilst they await guidance and rewards. Your dog remains glued to your side.

3. 'Contact' Heel teaches your dog the maintain physical contact to your leg whilst walking, bending or leaning to the side.

This class requires handlers to practice inbetween sessions to gain results. Consistency is key!

How many sessions you choose to attend is completely your choice based on your personal schedule and budget. These sessions are not combined into a course and the instructor will coach each dog & handler (maximum of 4) on the above lessons within their ability range to ensure to set the team up to succeed. The team will only move onto the next style of heel work when the previous lesson has been understood and completed.

Sessions take place in West Moors Memorial Hall on Sundays at 8.30pm-9.15pm.

Sessions are £20 each payable at the time of booking.
